Chasing Sunshine: Day Training

Overcome behavior challenges with individual training plans implemented by a professional trainer during the day.

What to Expect

Animals with fears, anxieties, or reactivity challenges can benefit from a specialized enrichment plan that honors their individuality alongside your goals as their family members, both inside the home and out in the real world.

  • These two to three hour visits during the day take an enrichment-centered approach to helping animals navigate behaviors rooted in fear and anxiety. Typically we begin with a warm-up activity to get into learning mode, followed by building skills in context. When we’re done, we’ll spend a little bit of time decompressing before they get settled in at home for the rest of the day. Your family’s training plan will be specifically tailored to your needs: no two animals will have the exact same activities!

  • The learning doesn’t stop when your trainer leaves! Each family is kept up-to-date with what their animal practiced and how they did at each session. By keeping everyone in the loop about where we are in the training plan, you will have the tools and information you need to continue building skills between trainer visits.

  • As a Fear Free Certified Professional, I am committed to meeting animals and families where they are.  I strongly believe in ethical, science-based training methods that prioritize behavioral and emotional welfare. Taking an enrichment-focused approach helps families better understand how to support their animals and share a happy, healthy life.

  • Day Training is geared toward families who need more support in keeping up with the footwork of changing behaviors.
